Experimenting with long exposure technique

In 2018, I began experimenting with long exposure techniques. Initially, it was a way to combine moving and static subjects within a single frame to create a narrative contrast. Later, partly inspired by the experimental photography of Colombian artist Diego Samper, I started introducing intentional motion into this technique. This was a method to extend the moving presence of my body in relation to the subject, and connect to it though breath, balance and anticipation. The following images display a short and scattered account of this experimentation process that eventually led to the "Transient Waters" project, which applies long exposure technique to the study visual patterns in liquid flow forms.
